JERUSALEM -- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. President Donald Trump announced separately on Thursday that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Israel have reached an agreement that establishes full diplomatic ties.

The timing of the agreement comes weeks after Netanyahu was expected to annex territories in the West Bank, a move that is considered widely controversial. Arab leaders, even those with ties to Israel, warned Israel not to go ahead with the plan. (Israel-UAE-Peace Deal)

RAMALLAH/GAZA -- Palestine on Thursday slammed the peace agreement reached between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Israel under U.S. sponsorship.

The Palestinian presidency described the agreement as "disgraceful," considering it a "blow to the Arab Peace Initiative and the decisions of the Arab and Islamic summits, and an aggression against the Palestinian people." (Palestine-Israel-UAE-Deal)

ANKARA -- Turkey will continue its cross-border operations against the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in northern Iraq if Baghdad "continues to tolerate the group's presence in its territory," the Turkish foreign ministry said on Thursday.

"Our country is ready to cooperate with Iraq on this issue. However, if the PKK presence in Iraq is tolerated, our country is determined to take the measures it deems necessary for its border security no matter where it may be," the ministry said in a written statement. (Turkey-Iraq-Operations)

JERUSALEM -- Israel has successfully tested its Arrow-2 ballistic missile interceptor, the defense ministry said Thursday.

The test was conducted at a test site in central Israel together with the U.S. Missile Defense Agency, the Israeli Air Force and Israel Aerospace Industries. (Israel-Missile Defense-Test)
