UNITED NATIONS -- The armed militia group CODECO reportedly killed seven people in a displaced persons camp in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), a UN spokesman said on Thursday.
The UN peacekeeping mission in the DRC, known as MONUSCO, reported the attack took place at the Plaine Savo camp for displaced people, 9 km east of Djugu, in Ituri province, said Farhan Haq, deputy spokesman for UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. (UN-DRC-Attack)

ISLAMABAD -- A terrorist attack in Pakistan's northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province (KP) left three police personnel killed, according to police.

YAOUNDE -- An official of Cameroon's electoral body, Elections Cameroon (Elecam), has been killed by suspected separatist fighters in Cameroon's English-speaking region of Northwest, local and security sources said on Thursday.
Gilbert Yufola, district chairman of Elecam in Jakiri, was shot dead Wednesday night in Bamenda, the chief town of the region, a senior military official in the region said. (Cameroon-Anglophone region-Separatist) .
