Ankara, Dec. 10 (SANA)Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that a just and lasting peace in Gaza can only be achieved through a ceasefire and the implementation of a two-state solution.
Speaking on the 77th anniversary of the UNs adoption of theUniversal Declaration of Human Rights(UDHR),Erdogansaid, according to Anadolu Agency, that the document represents the shared values and achievements of humanity and remains a universal commitment guaranteeing the inherent rights of every individual.
He added that the principles of the UDHR are being violated in many parts of the world, with concepts such as peace and justice constantly eroded.
Erdogan accused Israel of committing crimes in Gaza that he described as a flagrant violation of UDHR values, and stressed that rebuildingGazais an international responsibility toward the Palestinian people.
He also criticizedIsraelfor violating the ceasefire and called for international pressure to halt its aggression.
