JERUSALEM, March 31 (Xinhua) -- For more than a month, successive waves of Iranian missile strikes have triggered air-raid sirens across Israel, forcing many residents to retreat to shelters and, in some cases, to spend long stretches there during daily life, including at wedding celebrations.
The alerts and sheltering have underscored the civilian impact of the ongoing conflict, which began after large-scale U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran on Feb. 28, prompting Tehran's repeated retaliatory missile launches toward Israeli territority.
